Welcome to our dahlia tuber store

SOLD OUT FOR THE 2024 SEASON

Please read before ordering

All of our tubers are grown on our farm in Arcata, California

Each tuber in our shop is selected from our own stock. Each year we grow and sell thousands of stems and use them in our own weddings and events. We trial different varieties and only keep the ones that work well in our growing climate. We inspect for disease and weakness, culling weak plants. We take great caution with labeling, and sorting our varieties.

Tubers, those ugly little things that make the most beautiful flowers

Tuber size can vary greatly from variety to variety. Prices listed are for one tuber (plant) . Some varieties we divide down to a single tuber and others we keep in a clump on two or three. Some varieties wake up sooner than others. Some may arrive with a small shoot where others are still “sleeping.” Each tuber is guaranteed to have at least one eye. Some tubers are perfectly plump and others get a little wrinkly. Every tuber we sell is one we would be confident in planting ourselves. In fact we sell the “pretty” ones and keep the less then perfect ones for ourselves. Once you receive your tubers store in a cool but not damp area. Ideally between 45-50 degrees. You may keep them in the bags they come in. We are not liable for tuber care once your order is received. I hand-pack every order and human error does happen so if you have any questions about any of your tubers please reach out.

Shipping and Delivery

Once you enter your full address at checkout you will be able to choose shipping, local delivery, or local pick-up

Local delivery is 8.00 per order. USPS Shipping is a flat rate of 14.00

orders will be shipped using USPS ground select

Local delivery areas will be from Trinidad to Fortuna and east to Blue Lake

Local Orders: Delivery dates will be in mid-March and again in late March once we pull and pack all the orders. You will be contacted when your order is ready.

Not local? When will your order ship?

Shipping begins as soon as we start to pack them in early March. I can not hold orders to ship later than the end of March. Tubers are securely packed in wood shavings to protect them from the weather. If you would like to hold off receiving your order until the end of March let me know in the notes when checking out.

We will not be responsible for frozen tubers if shipping to colder climates.

You may notice some of our prices are a bit lower than many tubers you find online. Why? We like to keep it simple. No fancy labeling or writing on each tuber, no extensive care info, no planting info, no holding your order until May and shipping according to your last frost dates. You can find all the info you need on each variety with a simple Google search as well as planting tips etc. This keeps our listings much simpler and saves us a lot of time. Each variety will be packed in its own labeled bag. We strive to have great quality tubers. If you have any questions about a variety or care please reach out, we will answer what questions we can.

Thank you… and happy growing
